Jim Wilson Technical Training & Workforce Development Jim is tasked with developing and implementing career paths for all the staff at Ion/Apex Electric. This includes working with apprentices, journey-people, foremen, PMs, and administrative staff. Jim spends a significant amount of time administering Ion/Apex’s apprenticeship program; this includes curriculum selection, development, instruction, and compliance. Jim joined Ion/Apex Electric in late 2009. Prior to this Jim spent the better part of 15 years performing electrical work for various Cincinnati-area electrical contractors. Most of Jim’s experience has been in industrial electric including soap, pharmaceutical, distilleries, laminate, paint, foundry, building supplies university labs, and DoD facilities. Jim has also turned a fair-share of screws on commercial and residential work. When not at work Jim likes to mountain bike and trail run. He also stays busy chasing his eight-year old around and trying to avoid his wife and trying to balance all the fun chaos that goes with family-life. Jim enjoys learning and/or teaching something new every day. Jim holds a BSIE and an MSIE from the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering (now the College of Engineering and Applied Science). |
