Shawn is focused with representing Ion Apex to our wide range of community partners. He is our primary liaison with the Northern Kentucky Chamber, our education partners including local school districts, Gateway and NKU, trade groups, media outlets and elected officials. Shawn is also responsible for our social media content, contributes to our recruiting efforts and regulatory issues facing our company and industry.

Prior to joining Ion Apex Shawn was the Director of Professional Development for the Building Industry Association of Northern Kentucky where he oversaw their trades and training school – The Enzweiler Building Institute. He was also a community representative on issues related to skilled trades training and regulatory issues.

When not at work Shawn enjoys road cycling, mountain biking, kayaking and other outdoor activities. He has one daughter who is currently a student at Morehead State University and is a die hard Clemson Football fan.

Shawn holds a BS in Public Administration from Northern Kentucky University as well as minors in Management and Journalism.
